Coming on the 20th anniversary of the Mogi Mirim branch and shortly after the opening of a new technical center in Rio Claro, this award highlights SACMI’s long-standing success on the Brazilian market, achieved through technological innovation and the provision of new customer support services
Well-deserved recognition for SACMI do Brasil which, on May 26th, won the prestigious Mundo Ceramico prize, awarded yearly by the prestigious ceramic industry magazine. The prize-giving took place at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Sao Paulo.
In addition to winning the prestigious Best Supplier of the Year title, SACMI received awards in four categories in 2023: body preparation machines, forming technology, drying and firing technology and complete lines. A fitting conclusion, then, to a long period of steady growth in Brazil, in terms of both quantity and quality of installations. And that’s not all: SACMI Group company BMR won an award in the polishing and squaring category.
Mundo Ceramico's acknowledgement comes on the 20th anniversary of the founding of SACMI do Brasil - which employs 80 people in technical, sales and customer assistance roles - and follows the recent inauguration of the new technical hub in Rio Claro; the latter has strengthened SACMI's presence in the heart of the Santa Gertrudes district, home to almost half the country's ceramic production.
At technological level, the growing Brazilian market has already seen the arrival of models developed by SACMI over the last two years. These include the new PCR2180 and PCR2120 from the Continua+ family, the ‘giant’ MMC 300 mill, special FMA Maestro kilns and dryers. The latter are produced directly in Mogi Mirim in compliance with the highest quality standards set by the Italian parent company.
Providing close customer support throughout the lifespan of the machine and/or plant via digital and on-site services is a SACMI hallmark. More specifically, the new technical hub offers always-available original spare parts and consumables, machine revamping and regeneration plans, and a technical support center that can easily be accessed via the SACMI SPACE portal.
